News from Ed and Luci Kivett, Innkeepers

One Year Anniversary!
It's hard to believe that one year ago today we became the new Innkeeper family here at Glen-Ella Springs. It's been a really great year and our first big thank you goes to all of our wonderful guests who have welcomed us and supported us in so many ways. Our second big thank you goes to our terrific Glen-Ella Springs team. We were fortunate to come into a business with so many dedicated people who deeply care about the Inn and the guests. This really is a special place and we look forward to another great year.
In this issue, we have highlighted several summer activities to consider when making your travel plans including our 6th Annual Heirloom Tomato Festival.
Also, because we have a busy wedding season filling up many of our weekends, we hope you'll take advantage of the weekday special we've put together, perfect for families or just the two of you. There is plenty to do while visiting the Inn, such as hiking nearby trails, taking a pontoon cruise on Lake Rabun, playing a game of badminton in the meadow or enjoying a refreshing swim in our saline pool.
Finally, we have joined the social networking phenomenon and have created a Glen-Ella Springs fan page on Facebook. We invite you to become a fan. Log in to facebook by using the following link:
http://www.facebook.com/login.php, type in Glen-Ella Springs Inn under "search" and join our network to receive updates on future events and specials.
Have a great summer and we hope to see you at the Inn!

It's Spring fever. that is what the
name of
it is. And when you've got it, you want - oh,
you don't quite know what it is you do want,
but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so! - Mark Twain
Do you have Spring fever? We do! As we
write this, the beautiful weather has invited
our guests to relax on our new deck
overlooking the peaceful meadow, sip a
glass of wine and drink in the warm
sun...now that's what we call a great cure
for Spring fever!
In this issue, you will read about some of the
fun and festive events and packages
happening this spring not only at the inn but
in beautiful northeast Georgia. With all of
the negative and discouraging news you
hear every day, you deserve to get away and
just enjoy yourself a bit.
Come celebrate spring with us. We look
forward to welcoming you soon!
Ed and Luci

| The Favored Spot to Tie the Knot |
|
While some things have been affected by the current economic situation, weddings at Glen-Ella Springs have not. We have had a record number of weddings this year and are booked all the way into the fall. We are very thankful for all who have chosen Glen-Ella as a favored "spot to tie the knot". This does mean, however, we might not be as available as many of our leisure guests are accustomed to. Please consider making dinner and lodging reservations during the week if your preferred weekend date is completely full.

| Marriage Enrichment Retreats |
We are so pleased to be a part of a couple's new beginning when we host their wedding. But as many know, marriages often need help along the way to stay strong. Because we care about what happens 2, 3 or even 15+ years down the road, we are excited to be bringing marriage enrichment weekends to Glen-Ella Springs. The first one is scheduled for August 7th, 8th and 9th, 2009. Please contact the inn for specific dates and information.
